Moroccan Caidale tents traditionally belonged to the palace and were erected to welcome Kings and Sultans as they traveled the Kingdom and entertained their guests. Today, although still used by the palace, these Caidale have gained notoriety among event and theme party planners. They make an excellent alternative to the usual white tents and are used for wedding ceremonies, national festivities, as well as religious celebrations and parties. Moroccan Caidale tents can be custom made in many different sizes. The following prices are for frame tents with PVC cover and velvet lining, however, traditional tents with poles and rope skeleton, canvas outer covering, and polyester inside lining can be custom made as well.

Are the Tents Weatherproof?
The exteriors are made in heavy grade canvas and will withstand heavy and prolonged rain without leakage provided that the guy ropes are set to keep the roof taut. We have never had a leakage problem.

Are They Warm / Cold ?
They are significantly warmer than a conventional PVC marquee. They are exceptionally well insulated and heating is rarely required. They are also cool in the summer. Just imagine: they are the same ones used by sub-Saharan nomads!

What about Doors?
There is a door in every wall. These can be left closed or rolled up as required.

How Many People Do They Hold?
When furnished Arab-style the comfortable capacities of the tents are:
Marquee Style 20x40ft: up to 80 guests
If instead you intend to seat everyone at conventional banquet tables, the capacities are:
Marquee Style (complete steel structure 20x40ft): up to 100 diners.

What Sort of Surface Can They Be Placed On?
Marquee Style is a freestanding frame marquee with an Arabian interior which matches that of the tent, and can be used indoor or outodoor, therefore it can be used on hard floor or grass.

Can They Be Joined?
No strictly speaking. Tents can be placed with open walls adjacent (ie, open side to open side) so as to create an undivided single enclosure, but the join would not be weatherproof. The guy ropes prevent an edge-to-edge join.

Can They Be Joined to a Building?
Possible, but we would need to inspect the building in question and decide how this could best fit.

How Many Sides Can Be Opened?
All of them.

How Long Does It Take to Erect Them?
Much depends on what sizes are involved, how many tents, and the nature of the site. Most set-ups can be erected, furnished and lit in 3 hours. We prefer to put the tents up in dry weather, but this is not a limiting factor.

How Long Does it Take to take the tent down?
A lot less time than it takes to put them up! 2 hours is normally sufficient to clear the site.
